In this module, users will learn how to be aware of any abuse being inflicted on an individual that their organisation comes into contact with. Covered are the seven most common types of “abuse” and how to look for any signs of these. Learners will be informed of what to do if someone in their care discloses an incident of abuse and what procedures to follow to ensure that the incident is dealt with quickly and appropriately. Covered is the legislative framework to which their work is regulated and look at how best to prevent.
